ABOUT

Nickoloz Kachibaia is an international cinematographer currently based in Tbilisi.

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia and raised in Toronto, Canada, Nika's passion for filmmaking was sparked in an after-school film program, where he made his first film at the age of 17—marking the beginning of his journey as a filmmaker.

In 2016, he founded his own production company, gaining experience across various genres, including live events, music videos, commercials, documentaries, and narrative filmmaking.

After 27 years in Canada, in 2021, Nika returned to his roots in Georgia, reigniting his creative drive and embarking on a new chapter of artistic exploration.

In 2022, he began an ambitious collaboration with SAND (Science and non-duality) on a 2 year journey on a documentary series spanning 12 countries across multiple continents, which is now nearing the final stages of post-production.

Currently, Nika focuses primarily on narrative films and commercials.

His philosophy in crafting visuals is to let the story dictate the style and emotion of each project. He strives to maintain a naturalistic approach to lighting, ensuring that every scene feels authentic and immersive.
